Welcome to my online gallery. Please wander through and look at the variety of items I make:
jewellery, paintings (enamel pictures, oils and acrylics), etchings, etc.
I had been doing a bit of enamelling before I moved to England from New York in 1968. Then
I was mainly making dishes, but - as I had lugged my kiln and enamel powders to these shores -
I started exploring more, both by making jewellery and enamel pictures. About ten years ago I
began painting, both at Putney School of Art and Design and at home. I use both acrylics and
oils, and occasionally watercolours - mainly for my cards which I print in black and white,
and then add the colours afterwards. For the past three years I have been etching at Putney
School and absolutely love it for the fantastic range of different methods to explore. Also,
with all the above mediums, the thing which pleases me most and gives me the deepest satisfaction
is the range of colours available, and the different ways in which colour can be employed.
Obviously the medium itself dictates the use, but there are so many different ways to work
within all the mediums.
